What the role is
The job of an academic is challenging and meaningful. The lecturer will need to have knowledge and working experience as well as possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing and moulding their characters. There will be opportunities to develop the curriculum and be involved in consultancy and relevant applied projects. Administrative work related to teaching and School/Institutional strategic initiatives will be an important part of the job. Successful candidates should be well-connected to the media industry, resourceful, innovative, and have strong communication skills. The appointee must be able to teach the following areas: • Storytelling • Scriptwriting & Concept Development • Media Fundamentals
What you will be working on
Responsibilities:- • Develop and write curriculum materials for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses relevant to the industry. Module delivery including student assessments and assignments to meet learning outcomes. • Facilitate face-to-face lessons, implement, and inspire students through different learning pedagogies and activities. • Provide administrative and pastoral support in the running of diploma courses and general school operations. • Participate actively in professional development activities such as industrial research and collaboration projects. • Assist in the management and delivery of storytelling, scriptwriting and content creation modules and training programmes
What we are looking for
Requirements:- • At least 5 years of relevant experience in writing for scripted TV series • Some experience and technical skills in producing, production and content creation • Proficiency in storytelling, pitching, concept development, creating content for different audiences • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest scriptwriting software and Adobe Creative Suite to support student’s learning • Having teaching experience will be a plus Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
